GPHF-Minilab™ method inventory expanded: Special edition 2024 on antifreeze in cough syrups
The Minilab method inventory has been expanded and the 2024 special edition adds a test for impurities in liquid preparations for oral use, e.g. in cough syrups. Specifically, the test checks whether the liquids are contaminated with the toxic antifreeze agents diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol. In total, our Minilab users now have access to 120 test protocols for 119 active pharmaceutical ingredients plus a test for impurities in pharmaceutical excipients. The special edition is supplied as an extra booklet to the main manual and can also be downloaded free of charge in English, French or Spanish here on this page. The updated and expanded method inventory can be used with existing GPHF-Minilabs. Only the collection of reference samples and reagents needs to be extended accordingly.
