2002: Gefälschte Malariamittel in Südostasien
A cocktail of counterfeit antimalarial pills in their sales pack sold without label and cash memo. These fake antimalarials have been collected from private markets of rural Cambodia during a drug quality survey performed in countries of the Mekong region in 2002. Sold as a set consisting of a minimum of five tablets to the poor living up-country, none of the miraculous cocktails contained any active principle not even quinine or doxycycline as one of the cheapest antimalarials available in this region.
